Job Summary The Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) is the voice for Australia's oceans. We are Australia's leading ocean conservation organisation and one of the founding members of Australia's conservation movement. ABOUT THE ROLE The Operations Officer supports the effective operation of AMCS by providing essential administrative and logistical assistance, ensuring the smooth functioning of organisational processes, team activities, and events. This role acts as a professional first point of contact for public enquiries, supports key projects and initiatives, and contributes to the overall success of AMCS' conservation and fundraising efforts while fostering a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
This role involves: Acting as the main point of contact for public enquiries, managing the main AMCS email account and phone line while creating a welcoming and positive first impression for supporters and the public. Providing administrative support to the team and ensuring the efficient running of AMCS Team Meetings. Financial and fundraising support, including assisting with accounts payable and processing donations. Providing support to the AMCS staff wellbeing and volunteer programs. Supporting campaign planning and coordination on an as-needed basis, including assisting campaign staff in event management and organising activities.
