Australian Garlic Producers Pty Ltd is an Australian owned company supplying garlic to the national market. We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Supervisor.
Reporting to the Compliance Manager, this role will support in maintaining & verifying the effectiveness of the Human Resources activities and regulatory compliance. The role also has the opportunity to grow and develop into a more senior position.
Responsibilities:
Comply with and promote OHS practices, policies and procedures and conduct work in a safe manner. Support and ensure inductions are up to date and relevant including VEVO checks for visa holders. Support with AGP's policies including those relating to equity, diversity and sustainability in addition to AGP's Values and Code of Conduct ensuring that they are legislatively compliant and reflective of current best practice. Participate in and promote the setting of objectives, tracking objectives and appraising outcomes. Work collaboratively within the business unit and across the organisation to promote communication and information sharing. Oversee the reception and cleaning teams and provide leadership, training and development to all staff. Oversee HR projects to improve the human resource function within identified areas, as required. Support with organisational compliance with all existing legal and government requirements including anti-discrimination, equal employment opportunity, national employment standards, and fair work. Support workplace health and safety. Support practices to establish a positive employer-employee relationship and promote a high level of employee morale and motivation. Partner with management to communicate Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs. Ensure that all training and professional development is strategically linked to organisational needs and aligned to performance reviews and business planning processes. Support and advise managers and supervisors who are following the discipline process. Monitor the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees. Support accounts with all AGP pay practices and systems for effectiveness and cost containment. Qualifications/Experience:
Demonstrated experience in successful human resource functions or similar types of work. Demonstrated capability to work autonomously and support a small team. Demonstrated ability to serve as a knowledgeable resource to the Compliance Manager. Excellent verbal, written communication, interpersonal, influencing, advisory and negotiation skills. Demonstrated relevant human resources professional experience skills and experience held in high regard. Your application will include the following questions:
