About North West Hospital and Health Service (HHS) Unique locations Friendly communities Regional, rural and remote $$$ incentives We are currently looking for a Staff Specialist General Medicine or Senior Medical Officer/Rural Generalist to join a highly motivated team based at the Mount Isa Hospital to provide high quality clinical care to patients and manage the associated multidisciplinary team within the North West Hospital and Health Service.
The ideal candidate:
Assist the Director of Medicine in the provision of clinical services to medical inpatients and outpatients.
Have a proven leadership track record in a clinical service delivering training and research.
Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM) or the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP-RG) or Fellow of The Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in General Medicine.
Current registration with/or eligible for registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia.

Pro rata remuneration package (based on f/t equivalent value) from $525,850 up to $650,288 p.a.
Base salary rates between $210,332 and $266,677 p.a.
(f/t) (L18-L27) Attraction and retention incentive allowance 50% base p.a.
salary Regional and rural attraction allowance 15% base p.a.
salary Inaccessibility allowance of $34,500 p.a.
Motor vehicle allowance 5 weeks p.a.
annual leave with 17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Professional development assistance Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful candidate.
VPD risk role: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, Tuberculosis.
6 months probation may apply.
