Job Title: Group Leader, Customer Works A great opportunity has become available for a Group Leader, Customer Works to manage the end-to-end leadership and delivery of a diversified portfolio of discrete Capital Works (CAPEX) Projects and nominated Operating Expense (OPEX) projects.
As Group Leader Customer Works, you will ensure the safe, timely, and efficient delivery of the allocated projects within the Customer Works portfolio and optimise the delivery of construction across the Project sites whilst leading and mentoring a diverse team of Project Managers.
Key Responsibilities:
Effectively coordinate the delivery of interdependent programs.
Apply appropriate management methodologies and provide governance over management of scope and stakeholders, identification and escalation of issues, risks, and budgets.
Lead, develop, and foster performance improvements by identifying inefficiencies and leading activities to rectify the root causes.
Establish a collaborative culture within the team and build strong stakeholder relationships with functions such as engineering, procurement, commercial, and construction.
Proactively work with delivery partners to ensure performance requirements are met.
Manage resources effectively to ensure targets are met.
Develop, lead, and embed a culture that creates a Centre of Excellence (COE) with an ownership mindset.
Qualifications:
Experience in Project Management and the leadership of successful teams in an operating environment where safety, commercial accountability, and quality of delivery are leading indicators of success.
Demonstrated ability to manage interface relationships between stakeholders.
High-level decision-making ability to ensure business, customer, and stakeholder outcomes and expectations are met.
Strong communication and negotiation skills for effective management of key stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability in leading and managing portfolio/programs of work with a track record of successful delivery and continuous improvement.
Experience and/or qualifications in related fields (construction, business, engineering, project management, portfolio delivery).
Travel: Occasional travel to local AusNet offices, depots, project sites, and assets required.
