You will fall in love with the natural splendour of the North West Queensland region, the experience of a rural/urban community, and the opportunity to make a real and positive difference... and want to stay.About the roleDeliver a high standard and comprehensive range of drug and alcohol services to individuals, families, groups, and community members, including but not limited to clinical assessment and treatment services in accordance with harm minimisation policy and practice and community priorities to reduce harm associated with the use of alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs and coordinate and participate in all other prevention and intervention activities undertaken by the multidisciplinary ATODS service. The position is community-based, and the incumbent will be expected to work with a broad range of individuals, groups, and organisations to meet the objectives identified.RequirementsPsychologists: Mandatory possession of a tertiary degree in Psychology and eligible for current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) – Psychology.Social Workers: Mandatory possession of a tertiary degree in Social Work providing eligibility for membership to the Australian Association of Social Workers.
