Full-time (100%), fixed-term position for up to 5 years, with possibility of extension
Harnessing extensive alumni networks and established philanthropic partnerships, the AVP will develop and lead strategies, in partnership with two dedicated Executive Deans, to increase philanthropic giving to faculty-based priorities, maximising on the significant untapped potential of both HASS and BEL alumni and supporters.
This elevated leadership role is a truly unique opportunity to advance the work around visionary projects and special initiatives, as well as preparations for scaled comprehensive campaigns.
With the launch of The Queensland Commitment and Brisbane 2032 Olympics set to bring global attention to Queensland, the timing is perfectly aligned for harnessing the momentum to foster partnerships and secure funding for research, students and strategic projects.

UQ Study for Staff
About You This is a highly collaborative portfolio and will require leadership dedicated to cross-organisational partnership. As such, we are seeking individuals who can demonstrate at least 5 years of experience working within a complex fundraising/university environment, alongside:
Proven experience creating and successfully implementing strategic fundraising programs including identifying, cultivating and soliciting major gifts.
A track record of building/leading high performing and collaborative teams with an ability to promote a culture that rewards individual and collective success.
Demonstrated experience engaging and motivating groups of diverse stakeholder audiences and volunteer leadership boards, including engaging with high-net-worth individuals to secure philanthropic partnership.
Demonstrated ability to effectively liaise with senior executives to influence and drive fundraising strategies, with a proven ability to navigate budget planning process and oversee budgets with a high degree of fiscal responsibility.
This position will require domestic and international travel when strategically beneficial.
