Associate to Senior Associate, Commercial InsuranceWe have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to Senior Associate to join our Specialty Lines team in Sydney or Brisbane working for two Partners.About the team and the workThe team specialise in complex multi-party commercial disputes, director and officer (D&O) claims, class actions, reputation management, regulatory matters and commercial insurance/reinsurance claims (including monitoring and contested coverage disputes).You will be working on a range of interesting and challenging matters, including acting for corporations and officers in the defence of class actions, acting for D&Os in regulatory disputes, defending insolvent trading claims and related D&O claims, advising insurers on complex coverage matters in Australia and the London market, acting in reinsurance disputes, and advising on defamation/reputation management matters.Clients include directors, corporations, insurers, reinsurers and a wide range of professionals including accountants, auditors, brokers, financial planners, fund managers, IT professionals, solicitors and trustees.You will have the opportunity to work alongside leading Australian insurance lawyers in a high performing, supportive and collaborative team environment.About youYou will have 4+ years' experience gained in a well-regarded litigation or insurance practice.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Excellent attention to detail and organisational ability.Must be a team player, and action orientated.What Sparke Helmore can offer youOur culture is one which values and celebrates diversity to better represent the communities in which we live and work.
