How will I help?
Westpac Institutional Bank (WIB) manages the financial needs of corporate, institutional and government clients that are based, or have interests in, Australia and New Zealand.
The Banks and Insurance Relationships team sits within the Corporate and Institutional Bank (CIB) and manages and delivers strategic engagement to a diverse group of Domestic and International Banks and Insurance companies.
The role will report to the Head of Banks and Insurance Relationships. As an Associate within the team you will be responsible for supporting the coverage bankers drive strategic engagement, managing and deepening the relationship with a portfolio of clients in the Banks and Insurance sector.
You can expect to be involved in the following:
Coordinating the professional delivery of solutions for customers including developing customer presentation material
Coordinating communication to customers
Supporting the development of customer relationships and attendance at customer meetings where appropriate.
Acting as an interface with the customer on client service matters.
Preparing and coordinating pricing approvals and account plans
Overseeing hygiene matters necessary for the smooth running of the Bank and Insurance customer portfolio including pipeline, revenue forecasting and reporting
Support the development and execution of sector strategy.
Engagement with key stakeholders including risk, product, business development and customer insights and analytics.
Ad hoc tasks to support customer needs and deliverables
What do I need?
To be successful in the role, you will need to work well in a team environment, coordinating internal and external stakeholders. You will also be:
Confident and competent individual who has demonstrated success in a fast paced, team-based environment and proficient in a customer-facing environment
High commercial acumen and appetite to develop and apply corporate and financing knowledge
Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
Highly numerate with the ability to navigate complex systems
Project management skills and credit experience is desirable
Degree qualified – Business/Finance/Accounting/Economics preferably
