We facilitate access to MUFG's comprehensive suite of finance solutions to address client needs at every stage of a project's life cycle.The Associate will be responsible for assisting senior Project Finance team members in originating and executing financial advisory or lending mandates in Oceania, with a primary focus on financial modelling.What you'll be doing:Ensuring all transactions comply with MUFG's credit and other policies.Supervise and/or build and run Excel-based financial models to support advisory and lending activities.Undertake research and analytics to support advisory activities.Support and undertake due diligence activities.Develop transaction structures and documentation.Maintain relationships with clients, other financial institutions, external service providers and other teams within MUFG.Assist in the preparation of presentations for mandates and to support origination activities.Positively liaise with MUFG's local and international networks including global project finance teams, structured credit, and Sydney Branch.Manage deal information on various internal systems and associated internal deal processes.Prepare or contribute to research papers including attending industry seminars and presentations.What we are looking for:2 - 3 years' relevant project finance or modelling experience from major domestic/international banks, advisory services firms, or chartered accounting firms.Undergraduate degree in Business, Commerce, or Economics from a leading university is essential.Proficiency in the full suite of core Microsoft products and strong financial modelling capabilities.Ability to build and run financial models from scratch.Understanding of financial structures and debt markets.Ability to engage in independent research & analysis of customers and markets and apply critical thinking with a high level of attention to detail.Ability to communicate clearly both in writing and verbally.Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.Team player with drive and enthusiasm.Self-starter who applies initiative and is adaptable to change.Analytical mindset and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks across various work streams and alongside multiple stakeholders.Our culture:MUFG fosters a highly professional, supportive work environment that enables our employees to help maximize our customers' prosperity.
