About this role Our growing Private Business Tax & Advisory (Private Advisory) team is looking for a business services accountant to join our vibrant, friendly Brisbane office as an Associate, Partner Tax. In this distinctive and challenging role, you will be part of a specialised team completing tax returns for Grant Thornton's Partners and for investment entities, with a focus on tax compliance and tax planning.
Key responsibilities Work closely with the firm's Partners in meeting their accounting and tax compliance requirements, including timely preparation of financial statements and income tax returnsAssist with accounting, tax advisory, and tax planning mattersBuild strong relationships with Partners and other stakeholders whilst observing discretion and confidentialityStay updated on changes in tax legislation that may affect the firm's Partners Skills and experience Qualification(s) and / or professional accreditation(s) in a relevant discipline such as Business / Commerce, Accounting or Finance, or other relevant professional or overseas qualification(s)Have commenced (or planning to commence) a CA qualificationSignificant professional experience in business and tax advisory within a chartered accounting settingInterest in working with professionals and investment entitiesExcellent written and spoken communication skills, with a desire to go 'above and beyond' to delight your customersHighly organised, with the ability to manage competing priorities within a deadline-driven environmentIf you are interested in this role but don't feel that you match every single one of our requirements, we would still love to hear from you and explore the unique skillset and attributes that you can bring to the team.
