Urbis, Shaping futures your way! The Opportunity We are looking for a passionate, proactive Associate Director to join our Transport Advisory team within our Sydney business unit, with a focus on sustainable transport.
As a seasoned professional, you will draw on your skills and achievements, bringing considerable leadership, credibility and professionalism to the role, and contribute to the overall strength and growth of the team.

About You As an Associate Director, your responsibilities will include:
Leading bids and projects with minimal supervision.Assisting with forecasting, project budgeting and financial management.Strengthening existing client relationships and introducing new clients to Urbis.Nurturing and developing individual staff members, through effective coaching and mentoring.Providing technical transport planning input to One Urbis (multi-disciplinary) bids and projects.Leading the production of outstanding written deliverables and associated technical analysis.This role will suit someone with 8+ years' experience, ideally in a consultancy environment, with a combination of the following skills and competencies:
A self-starter who can work productively on their own initiative.Demonstrated experience on land use and transport planning projects, including private or public sector-led masterplans.A well-developed understanding of transport economic appraisal and transport modelling in an NSW business case context.Experience and expertise in active transport, including strategy and design.Some experience in transport engineering and development-related transport impact assessments.Advanced writing skills and demonstrable track record of producing detailed, compelling transport planning reports (evidence may be requested).Advanced capability in research and analysis of transport planning subject matter.A passion for sustainable transport and propensity for critical thinking.Track record of successful business development and client relationship management.Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Transport Engineering, Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.Ideally spatial analysis skills and experience.Why Urbis?
