Dedicated to providing value beyond the rating through independent and prospective credit opinions, Fitch Ratings offers global perspectives shaped by strong local market experience and credit market expertise.The Australian Structured Finance (SF) and Covered Bonds (CVB) team is currently a team of 13 analysts covering all asset classes in Australian and New Zealand SF and CVB.What We Offer:Join an experienced team;Exposure to the majority of issuers in the market;Variety of work with the ability to work on multiple asset classes (as well as new asset classes and issuers), in both rating new transactions as well as monitoring existing transactions;Great development opportunity for someone looking to continue to develop their career in SF/CVb.We'll Count on You To:Ensure all structured finance transactions/CVb programmes are reviewed on a continuous 12-month schedule and all transactions/programmes have been reviewed at least once a year by the due date which include:Performing data analysis in ExcelExecuting Fitch generated modelsPreparing analytical documentation based on Fitch templatesPresenting analytical documentation and communicate comments and opinions in committee effectivelyPreparing press releases based on Fitch templates;Assist with rating new transactions;Provide timely market/transaction performance commentary;Manage queries from issuers/bankers/investors - represent Fitch and communicate effectively with external transaction parties;Participate in originator/servicer review meetings;Adhoc projects/reporting and author reports.What You Need to Have:Undergraduate degree in a finance related discipline;A minimum of 18 months experience with a financial institution working in the mortgage or asset finance departments (preference in a credit or an analytical related role);Intermediate Excel skills with knowledge of following functionality (vlookup(), sumif(), if(), index(), match());Strong time management skills and a high level of attention to detail;An analytical individual who enjoys working with spreadsheets to generate a solution/result.What Would Make You Stand Out:Previous structured finance experience;Previous credit experience;Fitch is committed to providing global securities markets with objective, timely, independent, and forward-looking credit opinions.
