Associate Director Scoping and Development (STS7) Job posted: 24/05/2024 Organisation: Department of Transport and Planning Occupation: Construction Reference: 4159 About the Role The Associate Director of Scoping and Development, a key member of the leadership and governance team within Regional Transport, leads the program that develops fully scoped projects aligned with regional transport plans. This role emphasises environmental sustainability, compliance, and climate change adaptation for the region. Additionally, the Associate Director leads a multi-disciplinary team, proactively managing risks associated with development on and around the transport network. Strategic Development  – Developed an integrated and fully developed program of transport projects that aligns with the strategic goals for the region including environmental impacts and risks. The program has been developed after extensive stakeholder consultation and endorsement from governance. Program Delivery  – Has delivered a program of fully developed (scoped, realistic, deliverable, costed) transport projects in accordance with the DTP project lifecycle framework and CAMMS project management gateways. Stakeholder Engagement  – Effectively engaged with internal and external stakeholders using formal frameworks to ensure projects have been planned and managed to achieve technical requirements, community and Victorian Government outcomes. Environment  – Developed and implemented a sustainability and environmental strategy and action plan that has clearly identified opportunities and risks for DTP. Implemented a monitoring and reporting management system to ensure ongoing management of opportunities and risks. Risk Management  – Risks arising from works conducted by third parties (private and public developers, utility providers etc) across the Region's transport network have been identified and appropriately managed in accordance with the DTP Risk Framework. Effective People Leadership  – Has provided effective leadership, people management and support to their team, and is a valued, trusted member of the executive and governance team in the region. Promotes and supports safe, inclusive and flexible team operations.
