Associate Director, Policy and Budget, Reviews and Reform Employment Type: Ongoing Classification / Grade / Band: Clerk Grade 11/12 Remuneration: $139,787.44 - $161,662.80 plus, Superannuation and Leave Loading Location: Sydney CBD, Flexible & hybrid working options available Applications Close: Tuesday 8 October 2024 at 10.00am Your day as an Associate Director Your typical day-to-day as an Associate Director will be to drive the direction and scope of work for your projects and bring forward strategic and creative ideas to address and resolve a wide range of financial issues.
This could involve:
Undertaking qualitative and quantitative financial analysis to understand historical financial performance and the drivers of expenditure growth.
Collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders, including subject matter experts to undertake program, process and policy assessments of government activities.
Developing evidence-based fiscal reform initiatives to support the sustainability of the State's finances, optimise resource allocation, and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery to NSW communities.
Overseeing the work of team members, including coaching and helping team members to grow professionally.
Partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.

You will be joining our Policy and Budget Group and will be working within the Strategy Delivery and Reviews / Reviews and Reform Division .

What you can bring to the role.
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
Ability to apply critical-thinking and solve problems that require strategy, financial, or program and policy evaluation and due diligence.
Demonstrated experience in successfully managing projects, teams and stakeholders.
Demonstrated experience in delivering technical and complex information in different ways (verbal, written and visual), appropriate to the audience and its purpose.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport and relationships with people at all levels of an organisation.
Demonstrated experience working in high pressure, dynamic and innovative environments.
Highly advantageous if you have proven experience in advisory/consulting, assurance, reviews, and/or policy reform and design within in Public and private sectors.
