Urbis, Shaping futures your way! The Opportunity: Urbis has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Director to join our Engagement team and drive growth in our engagement and strategy offer!
As an Associate Director, you will be an integral part of the leadership team within a high-growth business environment. You will provide specialist advice to our clients on strategic engagement, stakeholder management, and community consultation. You will design and deliver tailored engagement strategies to build understanding, create local ownership and inform sustainable decision-making. You will also contribute to coaching and guiding a dedicated team of engagement and communication professionals.
You will have strong knowledge of one or more state-based planning systems, great commercial acumen, a strong client network, and are looking to take the next step in your career.
You will: Provide specialist advice to our clients on strategic engagement, stakeholder management and community consultation, to support strategic and statutory planning, development and infrastructure projects.Design and deliver tailored engagement strategies to build understanding, create local ownership and to inform sustainable decision-making.Draft persuasive and engaging communications materials, strategies, and reports.Deliver high-quality professional services to clients.Work as an integrated part of the leadership team, including contributing to the delivery of the business and growth strategy.Work collaboratively with Directors and staff in the broader Planning team and other business areas to deliver client outcomes.Proactively identify opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across the Sydney office and the broader firm on cross-disciplinary projects.Achieve revenue targets that comprise both personal fees and work under management.Keep abreast of market developments and industry trends affecting the business and devise strategies to respond to these.Nurture, coach, and develop individual staff members, through effective coaching and mentoring.About you: Tertiary qualifications in Communications, Public Policy, Business or a related discipline.Relevant experience, ideally gained in a consultancy environment.Proven ability to manage multiple projects and produce high-quality results.Proven ability to manage and develop team members.Proven track record of identifying and winning new business.Why Urbis?
