Job Description - Associate Director, Finance & Procurement (2401189)About the OpportunityReporting to the Chief Operating Officer, and forming part of our Senior Leadership team, the Associate Director, Finance & Procurement will lead our Finance & Procurement Program, aligning with the City of Adelaide's Strategic Plan. This pivotal role involves developing and coordinating a wide array of financial services, including Financial Planning & Reporting, Procurement & Contract Management, and Rates & Receivables. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership, focusing on performance, innovation, and efficient delivery of financial and procurement services, while overseeing comprehensive financial planning and management activities.In this role, you will support a positive workplace culture and foster a high-performing team dedicated to delivering top-tier services and maximising profitable returns for the Council. You will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of Long-Term Financial Plans (LTFP), providing strategic oversight of procurement and contract activity, guiding the Annual Business Plan and Budget process, and providing strategic advice to the CEO, Executive, and Council.You must be able to address budgetary and political inquiries with transparency, provide financial planning tools and economic strategies to aid decision-making, and ensure all financial records meet stringent audit requirements.
