Financial Controller - Aged Care (3-month contract) Our client is seeking a highly competent Financial Controller to join their team in Adelaide.
This role offers an exciting opportunity to ensure strong financial governance and effective internal controls across the organisation, meeting audit and other legislative standards.
The successful candidate will have the autonomy and responsibility to make significant decisions, managing $70m of annual spend and $320m of assets.
This role requires a professional who can develop appropriate corporate financial policies and procedures for the organisation.
What you'll do:
Ensure strong financial governance and effective internal controls are in place across the organisation Develop appropriate corporate financial policies and procedures for the organisation Provide expert advice on financial matters, particularly financial governance and controls Be the principal point of contact for external bodies including ATO, external auditors, banking institutions and Aged Care Quality and Safeguards Commission Manage the Financial Accounting team in the provision of core services to/on behalf of the organisation Optimise Financial Accounting service provision through the development of financial accounting systems, processes and people What you bring:
Relevant tertiary qualifications enabling membership to a professional accounting body Inclusive interpersonal skills encouraging cooperation and support from others Project and change management skills to undertake organisation-wide financial accounting projects Problem solving, analytical and decision-making skills Ability to negotiate with and influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes Ability to make independent decisions considering legislation, best practice, and political influences What sets this company apart:
