This business unit is responsible for facilitating and managing essential infrastructure, maintenance, and capital works projects that underpin the University's operations and growth. A key responsibility of this portfolio is the delivery of the University's Campus Development Plan, which is critical to ensuring the campus evolves in line with strategic priorities, supports innovation, and meets the needs of students, staff, and the broader community.The RoleThe Associate Director Capital Delivery is a pivotal leadership role within the Capital Development Team. The position is responsible for the overall management, procurement, and successful delivery of capital works of varied complexity from concept to delivery and closeout to align with the University's strategic goals. It includes the development of design briefs and business cases in line with Murdoch's governance requirements.This position offers an exciting opportunity for a visionary and driven leader to contribute to the delivery of the University's Campus Development Plan. The Plan will see the renewal of the University South St. campus through a comprehensive program of works to 2030 and beyond, including significant new build projects, along with an adaptive reuse and refurbishment program. This is an opportunity to be part of the transformation of Murdoch University's campus environment and contribute to the enhancement of teaching, learning, and research facilities.What you'll bring to this roleTertiary qualifications in one of the following: construction, management, engineering, project management, urban design, business, or other relevant discipline or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training as well as proven expertise in the management of significant human and material resources.Proven track record of successfully leading complex capital projects and programs of works from inception to completion.Extensive experience in strategic procurement, planning, preparation, and negotiation of consultancy and construction contracts.Strong leadership abilities with a collaborative and inclusive management style, capable of motivating teams.Applicants should refer to the Position Description for further details on the work requirements, duties, skills, and experience required for this role.
