State Government Opportunity in Parramatta with WFH flexibility ASAP Start Initial 6-month contract with possibility of extension $55 per hour + Super Our State Government Client is currently seeking an Assistant Project Officer who is passionate about making a difference to join their Parramatta team in providing Housing Services to the community.
The Role Support the design, implementation and coordination of projects that deliver effective business outcomes. Undertake research and analysis to support the development of key projects and the improvement of processes. Use project management methodologies and processes to ensure consistent high quality outcomes. Update project documentation, including registers, which support delivery of projects in compliance with agreed upon project management methodology. Prepare standard project-related documents for key stakeholders as required, including status updates, reports, budgets and discussion papers to manage the flow of information. Assist the project team with completing tasks and implement project plans as required to ensure agreed outcomes are achieved. Liaise with stakeholders and work across Divisions to ensure effective interface between program development, planning, service design and policy implementation. Work effectively with team members towards mutual continued development and to seek feedback on project tasks undertaken. About You To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines in an environment with conflicting priorities. Ability to maintain project related reports and registers by ensuring data integrity and comprehensive tracking of project milestones. A demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal cultural beliefs and attitudes and of the socio-economic position of Aboriginal people within Australian society, and of their impacts in relation to housing. A thorough understanding of the Aboriginal political and historical impacts upon policy developments in NSW and nationally in relation to Aboriginal land rights, and Aboriginal land use.
