Key Responsibilities: Assist in overseeing daily operations of the panel shop ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to high-quality standards.Support and collaborate with a team of skilled panel beaters, painters and customer service staff.Prepare accurate vehicle repair estimates, liaising with insurance companies and customers to ensure clarity and transparency.Conduct detailed assessments of vehicle damage and determine the scope of repairs required.Utilise estimating software to create precise repair quotes and cost breakdowns.Coordinate repair schedules, manage job allocation and maintain timelines to meet customer expectations.Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols and quality standards.Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, suppliers and insurance companies.Conduct regular team meetings to address challenges and discuss opportunities for improvement.Assist with administrative tasks, including job costing, invoicing and reporting.Requirements: Previous experience in vehicle estimating, assistant management or a related role within the automotive industry is a MUST.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and support a team.In-depth knowledge of panel beating, vehicle repairs, quoting and industry standards.Proficiency in job costing, invoicing and reporting.Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-focused approach.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.What We Offer: We offer our staff flexible working hours when needed.
