About the RoleBDO's economic team members are multidisciplinary problem solvers, who work with clients to understand their needs and goals, to provide advice on economic and social research matters.
We work with all levels of government, private companies, industry associations, research and development corporations, regional development boards and not-for-profit organisations.
Our team provide a wide range of economic and social research services across Australia, including:
Project and program evaluationEconomic impact analysisIndustry and market analysisSocioeconomic profilingSocial research.We are currently searching for an Assistant Manager to Manager level economist to join our growing Adelaide based team.
Key responsibilities will include:
Undertaking economic appraisals, including cost benefit analysis and other evaluation methodsManaging on-time and on-budget delivery of engagements, in a client-facing roleCollaborating on wider team engagements, beyond economicsMaintaining and developing strong relationships with clients and stakeholdersCoaching and mentoring team membersAdditional business development, project delivery and team management activities as required, supporting the efficient management of the team.What You'll BringA tertiary qualification in the field of economics is essentialDemonstrated experience managing the delivery of economic researchTechnical capabilities in quantitative economic analysis e.g.
cost benefit analysis, general equilibrium modelling or econometricsWell-developed report writing skills, including for a non-technical audienceExperience modelling in Excel as well as other software packages such as R or GEMPACKStrong understanding of statistics, data analytics and data visualisation.Why BDO?Working for BDO you will be part of a growing and market leading professional services firm.
