The Role Our client manages a 3,000-acre family-owned farm, dedicated to sustainable practices and producing high-quality crops.
This land comprises 840 acres using flood irrigation, 690 acres equipped with centre pivots, and 740 acres dedicated to dryland cropping.
The primary crops cultivated are cotton and sorghum, along with a limited amount of oats grown specifically for grazing purposes.
We're excited to invite an enthusiastic Assistant Manager to join our client's team in overseeing cropping operations.
This dynamic, hands-on role involves collaborating closely with the owners and agronomists while engaging in all farming activities like planting, spraying, irrigation, harvesting, and machinery maintenance.
A key responsibility will be operating a new John Deere self-propelled spray rig, so having prior experience with these machines will be incredibly valuable and beneficial.
During the harvest season, partnering with contractors for cotton picking and cereal crop harvesting ensures efficiency and high-quality yields.

The Ideal Candidate Ideally, you should have experience in a similar role, be proficient in spray rig operations, and possess a passion for agriculture.
