We take pride in innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining, and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites.Position SummaryAs an Assistant Financial Accountant, you will be an integral part of our finance team, supporting various accounting functions and collaborating with experienced professionals. This role provides a great opportunity for professional development, hands-on experience, and exposure to diverse aspects of accounting.ResponsibilitiesFinancial Record KeepingAssist in day-to-day financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, procurement, and general ledger entries.Process invoices, expense reports, and other financial transactions.Reconcile bank statements and credit cards on a regular basis.Update financial spreadsheets and databases with relevant information.Assist in financial reconciliation including accounts payable and balance sheet accounts.Providing administrative support to the finance team.Month-end and Year-end Close and ReportingSupport month-end and year-end close including accounts payable processes, general ledger accruals, prepayments, and adjusting entries.Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to financial transactions.Assist in preparation of group BAS.Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports for management review.Prepare ad hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by management.Providing support with external auditors during financial audits, providing documentation and support as needed.Budgeting and ForecastingProviding support in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts.Assist in monitoring actual financial performance against budgeted targets.Skills, Qualifications & Experience1-2 years professional experience in an accounting or similar role.Degree or Qualification in Finance.National Police Clearance.CPA (Chartered Practicing Accountant) (Desirable).High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office, STEMS, and MYOB software packages or similar.Strong organizational and time management skills.High attention to detail.What we ask of our peopleAct in an open and respectful manner to our clients and our people.Seek opportunity in all we can do and endeavor for continual improvement striving for positive outcomes for our client and people.Focus on solutions that provide a sustainable outcome in all we do.Adhere to project rules and requirements.Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, as well as a drug and alcohol screen.What we offerCompetitive salary.Safety-oriented work environment.Perth-based role.Opportunities to advance.
