Company: Commercial BuilderSalary: $80K to $100KLocation: BallaratWith over 100+ years of decorated history, this company is a well-respected Tier 3 Builder that specializes in builds across the Education, Health, Retail, and Government sectors up to $50M across Regional Victoria.Operating with a 5-day working week, this award-winning builder has a great organisational culture that promotes from within, has regular salary reviews, and additional programs to ensure staff feel valued.RoleAn Assistant Estimator is required to join the Estimating team of 4 due to an internal promotion and increase in workload. With the support of the Estimating Manager, Senior Estimator, and Directors, your responsibilities will include:Assist in managing estimating and pricing activities.Coordinate multiple estimates and define areas of responsibility.Perform quantity take-offs and produce bills of quantities.Review material and labour requirements, selecting cost-effective trades.Help approve and submit final cost estimates to clients.Attend tender interviews and prospect new client relationships.Liaise with the construction team and prepare project schedules.Hand over projects to the delivery team.Assist with project coordination.Software used: Planswift, Bluebeam, and MS ProjectsRequirementsRelevant Tertiary QualificationAt least 1+ year in an Estimating position for a commercial builderCommutable to Ballarat or GeelongStrong interpersonal and communication skillsTeam player and positive attitudeWillingness to learnTo apply for the role, please apply below with a resume highlighting the required experience.
