Assistant Director – Learning & Development Design and implement a Workforce Strategy Free all-day parking – Phillip, ACT Salary Sacrifice $15.9k per FBT for rent, mortgage or living expenses Our client, a small close-knit agency based in Phillip, ACT, requires an experienced Assistant Director – Learning & Development, for a non-ongoing arrangement for 12 months, with the possibility of extending.
As the Assistant Director, you'll play a pivotal part in shaping and delivering our Workforce Strategy and driving positive change.
Exciting things are on the horizon here and we need your knowledge, skills, and experience to contribute to our success.
Duties Responsible for the design and implementation for a Workforce Strategy, including the review and refresh of our current L&D Strategy.
Identify training and development needs to workforce and support the development of meaningful career pathways for employees across our network.
Coordinate mandatory and business priority training requirements for job specific roles.
Design and develop training programs (outsourced and/or in-house) using appropriate training methods.
This may include delivering training to all employees where required.
Coordinate and manage various employment pathway programs, including entry-level, Indigenous leadership, graduate, apprenticeship, and traineeship initiatives.
Lead the L&D team to produce accurate workforce data and reports.
Manage and supervise staff including undertaking performance management responsibilities.
Developing and implementing policies with stakeholder engagement.
The successful applicant will demonstrate: In-depth understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures and issues affecting First Nations peoples.
Demonstrated ability to support outcomes for First Nations peoples and the demonstrated ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Nations peoples.
Demonstrated experience in Learning and Development or other HR areas.
Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, including ability to prepare a range of written materials, tailored according to the audience.
Excellent leadership qualities including the ability to lead a small high-performing team to achieve outcomes.
High level leadership and interpersonal skills.
Experience in policy development and implementation.
Capacity to effectively manage multiple competing demands and priorities.
Desirable Qualification Certificate IV in Training and Assessment and/or relevant experience.
