About the role We are seeking an Assistant Manager to join our Assurance &Advisory Division. You will contribute to this by displayinga good understanding and appreciation of the values of SWAccountants & Advisors. By meeting responsibilities outlinedbelow, the Assistant Manager contributes to providing excellentclient service and demonstrates commitment to the SW'sculture.
Key Responsibilities: Manage a portfolio of SW audit clientsManage client relationships, including arrange auditlogistics, take responsibility for the audit file completionand quality, as well as manage and mentor the teamComplete allocated work on a range of the firm'sclientsComplete allocated jobs, including planning, audit work,preparation of financial statements and passing a completedaudit file and financial accounts back to the Manager forreview.Perform more complex specialist assignments when required,such as due diligence and review reports.Delegate appropriate work to junior members of staff andreview before passing the completed audit file to the Manageror Partner for review.Involvement in the technical aspects of the AssuranceDivision and the FirmEnsure all audit testing is completePrepare and monitor billings within the specified timelimits and monitor client budgets and write-offs.Provide support to the Manager or Partner in preparation ofclient advice reportsRecognise any departures from the auditing, accountingstandards or company law, and bring these to theManager's or Partner's attention, and advise theclient accordinglyKey Skills and Experience: A minimum of 4 year's experience in an Assuranceenvironment in a Chartered/CPA accounting practiceDegree qualified and near to qualifying or fully qualifiedas a CA / CPATechnically proficient and demonstrate a keen interest todevelop knowledge and keep updated with the latest audit andaccounting developmentsAbility to competently review the work of junior members ofstaff and identify any issues and value add opportunities fordiscussionPrior experience working with and developing good workingrelationships with clientsExcellent time management skills and the ability toprioritise work and meet deadlines for a large group ofclientsAbility to demonstrate strong leadership skills and ademonstrated ability to mentor, coach and manage junior membersof staffDiplomacy skills when dealing with clients and sensitivemattersAbility to network in order to utilise individual expertisewithin the FirmAbility to present professionally and possess excellentinterpersonal and communication skillsProficient in using an Audit software package such usCasewareBest Kept Secrets ofSW: Progressive firm, with excellent career opportunitiesFlexible working environment2 additional AL days per year18 weeks paid parental leave for primary carers and 3 weeksfor non-primaryRefer to client and refer a friend bonus schemeEmployee Assistance Program and Wellness perks$1000 towards home office setupSocial ClubTailored Learning and Development ProgramPaid Course/study leave1 paid professional membership per yearWeekly lunch providedApply today Create your own individual story and become a part of ours.
