About the role This position sits within our corporate finance team. This role assumes responsibility for daily and month end accounting and reporting. The provision of support for the corporate financial reporting team and working very closely with the Head of Financial Reporting and Accountants for production of the accounts also forms part of this role.

Key responsibilities Assist with month-end financial close (journals, reconciliations, reporting, intercompany processes etc). Assist with the consolidation of the group accounts and preparation of financial reports. Assist with the preparation of the half year/full year statutory financial reports, including working with external auditors. Assist with review of monthly costs across the business and associated analysis inclusive of management reporting requirements. Assist with building and implementation of required systems, processes, and policies to progress financial and commercial business maturity. Drive improvements in reporting, controls, and adherence to group policies. Support the financial control and accounting function for all regions globally. Provide backup support to other finance team roles. General accounting duties as required. Ad-hoc project work as required. Required skills, attributes and experience A tertiary qualification in accounting, commerce, or finance. Relevant certification (e.g., CA/CPA/ICA) or studying towards achieving this. Approximately 2+ years' experience in a similar position. Financial services industry experience will be favorable. Understanding of AASB/IFRS standards and financial accounting procedures. Hands-on experience with general ledger functions, month-end/year-end close processes and financial statements preparation. A keen eye for detail and desire to probe further into data. Ability to perform data and statistical analysis to spot trends and anomalies. Ability to understand and become proficient with new software and systems. Deadline-oriented and an ability to stick to time constraints. Proactive individual with a one team mindset. Ability to work autonomously. Strong communication skills both verbal and written. Proficiency in accounting software and computer software skills, including Excel, ERP Accounting Software.
