Role Overview: Are you an ambitious professional studying towards your CA or CPA and eager to develop your accounting career? The Assistant Accountant role is perfect for those looking to expand their knowledge and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. You'll play a key role in supporting the finance function while working within a highly respected insurance company, gaining invaluable exposure to the industry. Responsibilities: Assist with general ledger reconciliations, accounts payable, and accounts receivable processes.Support month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.Prepare and review BAS, payroll tax, and other statutory filings.Collaborate with external accountants and auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and facilitate the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.Maintain the accuracy and integrity of financial records, assisting with ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting. About You: You are currently studying towards your CA or CPA, and are looking for a role that provides the right environment to advance your professional journey.You have experience with financial software, particularly Xero, and a strong understanding of accounting principles.Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must, as you'll engage with various internal and external stakeholders.You're highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic work environment.
