Earlyrise Baking Co. is currently looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our busy Accounting and Payroll team. This position requires a person that has experience in a similar role and is wanting to work for a dynamic and growing business. You will join a team that is responsible for the financial functionality of the business.
About the Position Reporting to the Finance Manager your role will include:
Delivery of full month end processes and financial reports for a number of entities and business units. Analytical financial reviews in order to provide input into decision making and operating efficiencies. Accounts Payable and Receivable management. Assisting with weekly payroll processing for 200 staff ensuring that wages are processed in accordance with award and legislative requirements. Resolve payroll related queries from a range of stakeholders, including team members, managers and the Human Resources Department. Payroll reporting and analysis including productivity and costing reports. Preparation of monthly and quarterly tax and employee obligations. The role is hands on, where you will be involved in all aspects of the business utilising your experience and expertise to fit in to our existing long-term team.
About You Proven experience in a similar accounting or bookkeeping role. Experience with accounting software including MYOB or other related packages. Experience processing payroll including using relevant software. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders at varying levels. Exceptional attention to detail and high level of numeric accuracy. A proactive approach and the ability to show initiative and work independently as well as part of a team. A professional, calm and considered approach under pressure and when working to tight deadlines. Have permanent working rights in Australia. The Assistant Accountant role is a full-time position; however, part-time may be considered for the right applicant.
