Women's and Children's Health Network, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS), Enfield (5085) Salary Classification - ASO5 - Administrative Services Officer L5 - $85,790 to $95,413 Full time - Term Contract (Temporary up to 30 Jun 2025)  This position is exempted from the provisions of Sections 30(1), 52(1) and 103 of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 pursuant to an order of the Equal Opportunity Tribunal.

About the Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity to join CAMHS as a Aboriginal Social and Emotional Wellbeing Worker, where you will be responsible for: Providing cultural expertise and clinical recommendations for Aboriginal children, adolescents, and their families with mental health issues.
Delivering direct expert care to Aboriginal children, adolescents, and families.
Offering cultural leadership to multidisciplinary staff within CAMHS.
Ensuring optimal consumer care by addressing cultural safety in all aspects of engagement, assessment, education/advocacy, counselling, and group work.
Collaborating and liaise with other CAMHS disciplines, government, and non-government organisations.
Using expert cultural knowledge to provide direction, support, orientation, and education to other staff members.
Leading and participate in action research projects, quality improvement activities, and policy development.
About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Demonstrated ability to integrate Aboriginal cultural experiences, philosophy and practice particularly as it relates to the provision of social and emotional/mental health services to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander children, young people and their families.
Experience in engaging, establishing relationships, having informed discussions with Aboriginal children and young people (their families and significant others) to enable their needs to be met Extensive experience in providing assessment and interventions for Aboriginal children, young people and their families experiencing complex mental health / social and emotional wellbeing difficulties Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the cultural, and social and emotional wellbeing issues that impact on Aboriginal child, youth and family health and wellbeing, and the impact of government policies on mental health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Ability to Communicate and work with other professionals, facilitate group functions and work as a team member.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate the boundaries of safe practice with reference to current knowledge and skills, and to know when to refer to other professional disciplines.
