THE OPPORTUNITY Great opportunity for a Head Chef to join the Mulpha Hospitality Group overseeing our portfolio of Gold Coast venues including Ioesco Restaurant and Cove Taven in Sanctuary Cove, and Edgewater Bar & Grill and Isla Cantina in Surfers Paradise.
This role will work closely with the Hospitality Operations Manager ensuring operational profitability and highest quality and consistency of food, as well as staff retention, and best possible kitchen culture across the venues.
Salary guide: 105 to 110k plus super.
Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee kitchen operations, including budgeting, cost control, wage & inventory management, and staffing.
Leadership: Lead, mentor, and inspire kitchen teams across multiple locations, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Menu Development: Create and implement innovative, seasonal menus that highlight local ingredients and align with current food trends.
Quality Assurance: Ensure exceptional standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently met across all venues.
Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to health, safety, and hygiene regulations and standards.
Training & Development : Identify training needs and develop programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of kitchen staff.

Qualifications: Proven experience as a Head Chef or similar leadership role in a high-volume, multi-site environment.
Strong culinary skills with a passion for innovative and high-quality cuisine.

Strong financial acumen and experience managing budgets and costs.
Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills.
