About the Role
As Aquatic Programs Supervisor, you'll help oversee the schools swimming program and manage various aquatic activities. Your responsibilities include administering venue hire and school carnivals while ensuring excellent customer service.
You'll help train staff, coordinate rosters, and maintain high standards in aquatic programs. This role requires strong administrative skills, the ability to respond promptly to inquiries, and a commitment to upholding safety guidelines and service quality. You'll play a crucial part in creating a welcoming, professional environment for swimmers of all ages and abilities.
You will report to the Aquatic Programs Team Leader and perform a range of duties including but not limited to:

Team Leadership: Assisting to train, supervise, and provide leadership to the Aquatic Programs team.
Roster Management: Organise and maintain the Schools programs roster, ensuring efficient and adequate staff coverage at GESAC and CMSP.
Service Standards: Collaborate with the GEL Swim School Team Leader to maintain Service Improvement Standards in daily operations.
Customer Service: Act as a liaison on pool deck, providing customer service to Swim School members, parents and user groups.

Roster Requirements
As part of this role, you will also be required to perform direct service as either a Swim Instructor or Shift Supervisor.
You will be rostered 22.8 hours per week of admin related tasks (as listed above) and a minimum of 7.6 hours up to 15.2 hours per week of direct service.

Qualifications and Experience

Experience and achievement in the leisure industry.
Experience in liaising with schools, community groups and the general public.
Provide First Aid with current CPR qualification (or willing to obtain).
Austswim Certificate of Swimming and Water Safety (or equivalent).
Austswim Teacher of Swimming or Swim Australia Teacher extension courses (or willing to obtain).

Pre-employment Checks
Progressed candidates must undergo pre-employment screening as a standard procedure which will include:

Employee Working with Children Check.
New National Police Record Check.
Health Declaration.
Pre-employment medical.
Evidence of right to work in Australia.
