The Opportunity
On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for anAPS6Technical Advisory Officer. This is a 12-month assignment based inGeelong. The role will work a hybrid arrangement, Monday to Friday, 7.5 hours per day and will be paying $60.26 per hour plus super.
The team plays a critical role in supporting and building the capability of the complex decision making within this Agency.
Responsibilities include; Providing Health and Allied Health clinical and technical expertise using a coaching and mentoring approach, advising on the most appropriate supports to achieve participant outcomes.Managing complex and sensitive conversations and situations associated with approval of funding.Liaising and working with stakeholders, delegates, partners and providers to ensure consistent decision making and outcome achievement.Supporting the staff conducting internal and Administrative Appeals Tribunal review of decisions.Contributing to provision of Health and Allied Health clinical and technical expertise to inform Agency guidance and policy.Providing high quality written and telephone advice and record keeping.To be considered for this role you will demonstrate; Relevant academic qualifications and accreditation and membership with Professional Peak Bodies.Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or membership under Allied Health Professional Australia (AHPA).Hold a degree or qualification in Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Registered Nursing, or Social Work. Specialisation in Behavioural Support Practice is a plus.Extensive clinical experience in specific allied health fields, showcasing your ability to excel in this role.Stakeholder management skills and strong communication.Prior experience working with individuals with disabilities and/or chronic health conditions is highly desirable.As this role is with a Federal Government Agency, applicants are required to be Australian Citizens.
