About Our Client Our client is one of the larger Public Sector and Government departments.

They have a team of over 100 in finance and work with some very interesting divisions within the Federal Government.

The department is fast paced and high-tempo and you will engage with the EL2 on numerous occasions throughout the week.
Job Description The APS 6 Senior Finance Officer will be responsible for
Providing a range of financial and budget services (eg. Budget development, end-of-month reporting, forecasting);Undertaking financial analysis and reconciliation processes on a monthly basis.Providing financial advice within the DepartmentManaging and co-ordinating month end processing i.e. accruals and journals;Liaising and engaging with internal clients.The ability to prioritise workload and manage a small team is essential as is the ability to accept and manage change. The Successful Applicant As an APS 6 Senior Finance Officer you will
have strong financial capability and competencehave excellent focus on client serviceshave strong analytical and investigative skillsbe able to work under limited supervision and within a teambe a skilled communicatorbe able to build/contribute to a highly productive working environmentexemplify a high level of personal integrity, honesty and professional competence.



You will be an Australian Citizen, ideally be based in Canberra and will have a minimum of baseline security clearance or the ability to gain it.

You do not need to have worked in The Federal Government before to apply. What's on Offer APS 6 pay banding of circa $90,000 - $103,000 depending on experience, plus 15.4% super.
