Our Federal Government client has a great opportunity for a Review Officer at the APS6 level within their Internal Review and Appeals team. The position is for three months with the possibility of extensions. The Internal Review and Appeals Team is responsible for conducting statutory reviews of decisions to ensure the integrity of national qualifications issued by training providers, fostering confidence in the Department's decisions.

Key Responsibilities: Implementing a stewardship approach to ongoing regulatory reformMaintaining effective partnershipsProviding regulatory policy adviceCollecting, analysing, interpreting, and disseminating data and information relating to vocational education and trainingUndertaking reviews of internal decisions and managing cases in dispute in the Administrative Appeals TribunalAbout the Role:

As a Review Officer, you will play a pivotal role in a small cross functional team conducting statutory reviews of decisions. Your responsibilities will include:
Assessing and preparing applications for review of decisions made under applicable legislationEngaging with providers to understand the reasons for review applications and ensuring the best evidence is presentedPreparing well-reasoned decisions for internal review applications, including extensions of time and stay applicationsSupporting validation activities to ensure assessment tools produce valid, reliable, sufficient, current, and authentic evidence for reasonable judgmentsQualifications and Skills: Excellent analytical and decision-making skillsEffective communication and stakeholder engagement abilitiesExperience in regulatory environments or similar fieldsMust be Australian CitizenBaseline Clearance is preferredOn Offer: 3 months + possible extensionsHybrid model$60 p/h + superFor an immediate start, please apply or for further questions, please call Mel Ireland on 07 3239 2598.
