Aps6 Finance Business Partner - 12 Months Nog Or S26 Permanency

The Organisation
Medium sized Federal Government Department. This role is working as a finance business partner, supporting a broad range of business lines.
The Role
This is a permanent s26 transfer or 12 months' non-ongoing contract at the APS6 level working in a finance business partner role. You will be working closely with a range of business lines, operating as a first point of contact for business line staff on corporate matters as well as being the main liaison point for the corporate area.
This Role Has Varied Responsibilities
Develop and prepare the budget, forward estimates and project cost updates Produce variance reports and monitor expenditure performance against budget Provide responses to ad hoc financial reporting requests from corporate and business line management EOM management including reconciliations, journals and accruals. You'll also be the person they will approach on broader corporate matters such as procurement and HR
This is a varied position that will be offered as a non ongoing contract at the APS6 level, there is the potential for extension and even permanency. If you are already in the APS they can offer an s26 transfer with salary matching.
They can offer up to 3 days WFH.
Your Skills And Experience
You must be an Australian Citizen and hold a current Baseline clearance, who can demonstrate previous federal Government experience from working within divisional/business line finance roles at the APS5/6/EL1 level.
Extensive budgeting and forecasting experience and polished communication skills will also make you competitive for this role.
