You will support the delivery of workforce capability through a variety Governance related functions based on priorities and operational requirements.
Your responsibilities may include the following: Working collaboratively with the wider Corporate Governance Directorate to support deliver of HR related Governance requirements and artefacts, including the provision of advice and support on policies, procedures, applicable legislation.
Assist in the coordination and delivery of workforce capability activities for Finance, Procurement and Work Health Safety Management.
Performing a range of office management activities including administrative support and responding to enquiries in a timely manner.

About our Team The Governance Directorate within DPGHQ delivers a broad a range of functions supporting the Deputy Secretary Defence People and Chief of Personnel.
The Governance Directorate is responsible for the coordination of all Governance, Audit, Finance and WHS (internal) artefacts for DPG.
You will be working with a small dynamic team based in Canberra and will enjoy the challenge of broad and diverse functions support DPG.
Our Ideal Candidate Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate strong skills and experience in: Researching and analysing activities to identify and address Governance framework requirements.
Contribute to implementation and continuous improvement of Governance and frameworks in accordance with legislation and Defence policies.
Provision of advice on the application of Governance frameworks across a diverse workforce.
High level planning, organising and prioritising skills.
Ability to support complex work packages in compressed timeframes.
Stakeholder engagement and management.
The candidate will have the following demonstrated attributes: Building/maintaining positive stakeholder relationships.
Strong planning/time management skills, particularly prioritisation and critical thinking.
Financial and contracting experience - Not essential but desirable.
Work Health Safety Experience - Not essential but desirable.
