Overview of our role 12 month fixed-term opportunity as the Application Support Analyst. You will be empowered as the primary contact for first or second level application support for designated business units, handling issue resolution and contributing to the application life cycle management. You will support business improvements, collaborate with stakeholders and operational teams, and monitor system performance.
Possess a current Australian driver's license as travel between sites within Victoria is essential for supporting system implementations, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring smooth operational handovers and on-site troubleshooting.
A little about you Experience in cloud-based systems, ITIL practices, client-side development (e.g., JavaScript), API integration, and a strong understanding of the application life cycle.First or Second Level Application Support:Act as the single point of contact for application-related support within assigned business units, addressing issues and providing timely resolutions.Apply knowledge of the application life cycle to support application deployment, updates, and decommissioning activities.Collaboration on Business Improvements:Work closely with operational teams to support process mapping, documentation, training material development, and process optimization.Drive improvements that align with the application life cycle, ensuring applications remain effective and relevant to business needs.Systematic Issue Monitoring and Analysis:Monitor data from field operations, identifying and analyzing systematic issues.Collaborate with the Business Owners/Team Leaders to implement workarounds or permanent solutions for recurring issues.Technical Development and API Integration:Support client-side application functions, utilizing languages like JavaScript to assist with troubleshooting and minor development tasks.Understand and apply basic API integration principles to maintain application connectivity and data flow.Process Improvement and Continuous Optimization:Leverage ITIL standards and a continuous improvement mindset to enhance service delivery, support processes, and application performance throughout its life cycle.Effective Communication and Documentation:Communicate clearly with business units, providing guidance on application issues and changes.Document issues, updates, and training materials accurately, contributing to life cycle documentation.Qualifications / certifications & Skills Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.In-depth experience in Application Analyst/Business Analyst with experience in application/operational support.Familiarity with cloud-based systems, client-side development (e.g., JavaScript), and also, .Net and API integration.Strong understanding of IT/Digital systems, application life cycle management, and ITIL practices.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.Ability to communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.Experience with both Waterfall and Agile methodologies and tools (JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow etc.) is a plus.Continuous Improvement: Committed to identifying and implementing process and application enhancements.Why you should come and work for us Our people are our energy source and we offer meaningful benefits and rewards that work for you.
