The Role Reporting into the Head of Information Security, the Application Security Manager role is a key role in MLC Life Insurance for the protection of information assets and managing risk. Collaborating and interacting with various internal technology and business teams, you will be responsible for providing security advisory services to internal stakeholders and providing solutions to address current and emerging information security and compliance requirements.
In addition, you will be responsible for ensuring the effectiveness of security controls, enabling us to meet our regulatory and compliance obligations. As part of your role, you will support our business unit leaders and individuals understand their information, application and cyber security responsibilities and accountabilities with respect to their portfolio.
About you An experienced Application Security Manager, you possess a minimum of 8+ years of experience in a similar capacity. You come from a strong background in application development, with strong knowledge about information security.
Your hands-on development skills set coupled with your information security knowledge such as frameworks, regulatory requirements and legislations such as ISO/IEC 27001, APRA CPS 234, Security of Critical Infrastructure Act 2018 and the NIST Cyber Security Framework will enable you to provide pragmatic and applicable advice to our technical environment.
Ideally, you have strong knowledge and experience in use and management of application security testing tools and platforms.
Lastly, your ability to build and maintain strong relationships with a variety of stakeholders (both internal and external) will enable you to influence and drive meaningful decision making.
