Are you ready to take your application development skills to the next level?
Join our team and contribute to designing, developing, and maintaining cutting-edge application software as part of our Express Parcels Sortation platform.
You'll be a key player in a dynamic POD team (Product-Oriented Delivery) alongside business/technical analysts, scrum masters, developers, and testers, ensuring our software aligns with business goals, IT strategy, and can scale effortlessly.
Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, test, and release application enhancements as part of a blended team of TGE employees and vendor partners.
Ensure application performance, stability, and security, contributing to both immediate project needs and long-term roadmaps (6 months to 3 years).
Lead development efforts for sortation management solutions (SMS), working closely with stakeholders and managing integration with related systems.
Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies in transport management systems; identify and recommend improvements.
Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure compliance with security best practices, conduct assessments, and implement secure coding for Express Parcels applications.
Contribute to the development of disaster recovery and business continuity plans, including backup and restoration procedures for key applications.
Skills & Capabilities: Expertise in Microsoft .NET technologies, including .NET Framework and .Net Core.
Strong database management skills, including Microsoft SQL Server, complex queries, stored procedures, and performance optimization.
Proven experience developing custom front-end applications using modern technologies like Angular, React, JavaScript, and related frameworks.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (Azure/AWS), and containerization technologies like Docker/Kubernetes.
Knowledge of integration/middleware technologies and software development life cycles (SDLC).
Familiarity with project management methodologies and IT infrastructure libraries (ITIL).
Desirable Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in an Application Developer role, ideally within the Transportation & Logistics industry.
Experience in developing customer and digital solutions, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
Ability to create and implement customer-centric strategies while managing stakeholder relationships.
Knowledge of industry trends and best practices in software development and system integration.
