Kennedys is seeking an experienced Pricing Analyst to join our fun & vibrant Finance team, based in Sydney. This newly created role will report directly to the Head of Pricing (UK) and the Head of Finance (APAC) and be responsible for providing the data and information needed to support the pricing process and analysis of margin realization.The analyst will also collaborate with senior stakeholders across the firm's established Business Services teams and Product Group Partners, to provide management information outside of the formal pricing and bid process. In particular, the analyst will work closely with the Business Development team to produce pricing information and proposals for RFP's and pitches.Thanks to our talented people and reputation in the global insurance market, our Australian firm has grown exponentially over the last 12 months and, as a result of this growth, we now need a dedicated Pricing Analyst to support our firm throughout Australia and the APAC region.TEAM:Kennedys Finance supports the firm globally by producing timely and accurate financial and management information, reporting solutions and operational support to maintain the high standard of service offered to the firm's internal and external clients.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Develop and maintain the rates database to allow benchmarking of rates and identify overdue client rate reviewsProvide support to Partners and bid teams in relation to the pricing of work and client agreements including the provision of modelling scenariosSupport the end-to-end matter management process in terms of pricing and client profitability reviewsDevelop and maintain the pricing governance database including details of where approvals of deals outside of the scope of the pricing policy have been madeProvide analysis of historical data of previous work done relating to specific sectors or clientsMaintain the high standard of service offered to the firm's internal clients and to assist in creating and developing the professional reputation of the functionAct as a Trusted Advisor by building relationships across all business services teams to ensure a consistent approach and serviceCreate and maintain professional and positive relationships with partners and employeesMaintain trust and confidentiality at all timesWHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:Bachelor's degree in a highly analytical discipline is preferred (e.g. Economics, Commerce, Engineering)Demonstrated experience in pricing within a legal or professional services environment is desiredExperience interacting with and assessing diverse data sources and key P&L metricsExcellent financial and analytical capability; data-driven and focused on fact-based assessmentsProven track record to use Microsoft Excel and business intelligence tools to an advanced level.Strong written and verbal communication skillsProcess orientated with strong analytical and documentation skillsAbility to work independently and take initiative to identify and address issues proactivelyTake ownership of key projects and initiatives, demonstrating the ability to work autonomously and drive results with minimal supervision.Understand and live by Kennedys values – approachable, straightforward, supportive and distinctivePlease let us know if you require any additional support or adjustments to be made in order to submit your application to Kennedys.
