Program Overview Jama Bana is a program for First Nations adults who are already accessing Bama Dakil services and seeking supports to decrease their alcohol issues. First Nations adults are supported through a strong model of re-connection to culture, Country, community and to themselves. Jama Bana provides day-to-day supports and activities to First Nations adults.
To Be Successful You Will Need Ability to maintain accurate records of client interactions and service provision. A high level of commitment to the values of Anglicare North Queensland. Prior experience facilitating community activities will be advantageous. Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, families and communities will be highly regarded. Experience working with people from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds will be highly regarded. Awareness and/or experience working with people experiencing mental health challenges will be highly regarded. Awareness and/or experience working with people experiencing drug and alcohol challenges will be highly regarded. Compliance A current QLD drivers licence 'Class C' or interstate equivalent. Blue Card (Working with children card). A current national Police Check (within the last 3 months). Current First Aid & CPR Certifications. What We Can Offer You Salary packaging available.
