About the role The Allied Health Practice Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day functioning and improvements across multiple service centre locations, through the development, implementation and refinement of systems, working to ensure efficient and smooth service delivery and general operations. They will lead a small team of Allied Health Receptionists and Clinical Administration Officers.
More specifically, the role's purpose is to:
Manage the efficient administration of clinical services, maximising the organisations revenue streams (including DVA, MBS and Bupa Health) and support clinical services to meet KPIs and targets. Excel in operational management and scheduling, driving efficiency and streamlining operations across multiple service centres nationally. Build, lead and coach a high performing service administration team with capability to deliver on the organisation's operational plan and service delivery requirements. Undertake agreed stakeholder engagement and communications to maximise the organisations service offering including building and maintaining referral pathways. Working with the Clinical Services Manager, Quality, Risk and Compliance Manager and other key team members, develop service utilisation and outcomes data reports to allow improvements in efficiency, service development and quality and safety. Lead and maximise the client insights capability within MMEx as a superuser, supporting clinical and administrative staff and working with Data Analysts to monitor and report on operational and strategic outputs and outcomes. Lead quality improvement initiatives within role scope, required to support achievement of Accreditation standards and other legislative and compliance requirements. This is a 24 month fixed-term contract opportunity based in our Head Office in Fortitude Valley, Brisbane.
Essential for success A minimum of 5 years' experience running a General Practice/Allied Health care practice/Aboriginal Health Service or similar and a dedication to ensuring the most positive experience for clients while mentoring and leading your team in a positive and enlightened manner. Diploma of Practice Management or similar. Member of AAPM preferred (or willing to join). Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Demonstrated knowledge of Australian health/community care standards and legislative frameworks. Demonstrated experience in practical use of Primary Care Client Information Systems. Confident mastery of common IT and software tools and platforms relating to client information management and business planning. Ability to maintain a valid working with children card. Advantageous Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field. Experience or understanding of Veterans' health needs/DVA. Experience working in the not-for-profit or Human Service sector. Experience using MMEX. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in the veteran community.
