We now have an exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Clinical Lead to join our team at the Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health based in Cloncurry.
ABOUT THE ROLE As a key member of our dynamic and innovative team, you will facilitate service-learning programs in partnership with local community organizations.
With a mission to excel in remote, rural, and Indigenous health, you will provide clinical supervision to undergraduate allied health students, engage with local stakeholders, and promote inter-professional learning in remote settings.
Service learning is an innovative approach to remote service delivery and workforce development, providing student-assisted, periodic, interprofessional services for adults and children in areas of high or unmet need, as identified by service providers and the community.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE Recognised allied health qualification with demonstrated experience as a specialist or generalist allied health professional in remote Indigenous contexts or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and/or training. Evidence of teaching ability, including a demonstrated capacity to work effectively in a health professional education and health service environment. Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work with cultural diversity in a small geographically dispersed team. Demonstrated interdisciplinary skills / interprofessional practice experience in relevant areas of education and / or health service delivery. Special Conditions Ability to undertake remote travel across Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health service footprint when required, including overnight stays. It is a requirement of this position to occasionally undertake work outside normal hours. It is a requirement of this position to hold a current Queensland C class driver's licence. It is a requirement of this position to hold a Working with Children Blue Card or have the ability to rapidly obtain. It is a requirement of this position to hold a NDIS Worker Screening Card or Disability Worker Screening Card (whichever applicable) or have the ability to rapidly obtain. It is a requirement of this position to be fully vaccinated as per health, aged care and education sector regulations. ABOUT THE MURTUPUNI CENTRE FOR RURAL AND REMOTE HEALTH The Murtupuni Centre for Rural and Remote Health (MCRRH) is a federally funded nationally networked University Department of Rural Health with additional funded vertical programs and key performance indicators set by the Department of Health specifically focused on health workforce.
Located in Mount Isa with nodes in Cloncurry and Longreach, MCRRH serves the large geographic region of outback northern Queensland.
