The Speech Pathology Department is looking for an Allied Health Assistant to join their supportive team at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. The Speech Pathology Department specialises in the assessment and management of inpatients and outpatients with acquired communication disorders, swallowing disorders, voice disorders, laryngectomy and other head and neck surgery across the continuum of care.
About the Role As the Allied Health Assistant (Speech Pathology) you will:
Contribute to patient care by providing administrative and clinical assistance to Allied Health Professionals (AHP) in their day-to-day clinical duties.Provide a defined range of individual patient interventions as delegated by the AHP and work under their direction.Work collaboratively as part of a team with a good understanding of your own scope of practice.Demonstrate personal time management skills including the ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities and the ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required.Our values of Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Engagement and Excellence, shape our culture within Metro South Health.
