Our allied health team is a friendly, strong and dynamic multidisciplinary team that delivers individual and group , therapies and psychotherapies to Toronto Private Hospital's day program and in-patient units (rehabilitations, medical and mental health). We are currently seeking expressions of interest for a casual Allied Health Assistant Position on our in-patient mental health unit, and rehabilitation units.
Casual shifts of 4-8 hours on weekdays, and/or 5 hours on weekendsFacilitating activity groups for mental health in-patients under the supervising ward therapist (occupational therapist/psychologist)Currently enrolled in 3rd or 4th year of an undergraduate allied health university degree (Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, Physiotherapy) OR obtained Certificate III or IV Allied Health Assistant A passion and enthusiasm to work within mental health and/or rehabilitationExcellent group-work and teamwork skills, as well as confidence working autonomouslyExperience within a multidisciplinary teamExperience working with adults living with various mental health challenges including (but not limited to) Trauma, Depression, Anxiety, Mood Disorders, PTSD, Personality Disorders and Substance UsePrevious student placement in mental health (preferably in-patient setting)Experience working or student placement in inpatient rehabilitation (older adults reconditioning, joint replacements, neurological conditions, amputees) Think you're a fit for the role?
