About the Role Based at our head office in Brisbane/Meeanjin, you will be responsible for providing receptionist and administration support to health professionals and clients within the practice in a caring, supportive and efficient manner. As a casual receptionist you will be responsible to oversee all administration duties as needed. You will be supported by, and report to the practice manager and the leadership team.
As our receptionists are often the first point of contact for our clients, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential to this role. Working in collaboration with our practice manager, excellent time management skills, and the ability to multitask are required.
The position is casual but may have the potential to become part time for the right candidate. The clinic is open between 7am, and 7pm.
About you: You thrive working within a friendly, supportive, and collaborative team environmentYou have the drive to continuously learn and growYou have a can-do attitude and the ability work autonomously You are focused on accuracy, have excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask You are great at building rapport with clients and enjoy working with key stakeholdersYou have exceptional verbal and written communication skills What you'll be doing: Handle all face-to-face, phone and online client registrations, bookings, triage and queries as the first point of contact within the clinicReceive payments, issue receipts, complete all billing and invoicing for clientsHelp resolve Medicare and third party billing issuesOperate our booking system, including but not limited to bookings, data entry, and client registrationLiaising with referring clinicians and clinics Greeting clients on arrival to the clinic and preparing tea and coffeeAssist with planning staff events and lunches Sending SMS Referral Reminders / Cancellation / DNA LettersConfirming appointments / managing waiting lists Client/cancellation follow up to ensure consistent treatmentLight cleaning dutiesOffice setup and close Maintaining confidentialityOther duties as directed by Practice Manager Desirable criteria: Previous receptionist experience in a medical or allied health clinicUnderstanding of Medicare, DVA and NDIS systemsExperience with practice management software (specifically PowerDiary)Computer skills including MS word, Excel etc. Interest in the health sector and eating disorder treatment space What you will bring: A warm personality and good communication skillsA current Blue Card, or the ability to gain one prior to commencementReliability, a positive can do attitude, a willingness to learn and a desire to actively contribute to our valued team culture Salary: Competitive remuneration to be negotiated with successful applicant.
