Following the decision by the Australian Government to acquire UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia has established a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the initial procurement and ongoing sustainment activities.
We are pleased to invite applications for the position of UH-60M Workshop Team Lead to join our UH-60M Black Hawk team in Horningsea Park, NSW.
About the role As the Component Team Leader, you will oversee the UH-60M Component Maintenance Repair requirements, ensuring the effective supervision and execution of component repair, Support and Test Equipment (S&TE), and Ground Support Equipment (GSE) maintenance.
Key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to: Manage component maintenance and certification processes in line with company authorizations.Supervise the repair and maintenance of UH-60M components, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards.Conduct thorough assessments of component conditions to determine the appropriate repair strategies.Maintain accurate technical records and documentation for all components.Identify opportunities for developing additional repairs and overhaul processes based on available technical data.Collaborate with third-party organizations and internal teams to ensure optimal repair methods are selected.Foster a customer-focused approach in all service delivery, addressing client needs and expectations effectively.Assist with training and mentoring team members to promote skill development and operational excellence.Provide support to Line or Base Maintenance as needed.To be successful in this role, you will have: Tertiary qualifications in Aircraft Maintenance Engineering or equivalent experience.Valid Military Aircraft Maintenance License (C category MAML).Significant supervisory experience in aviation maintenance.Excellent customer relations skills with a proven ability to effectively manage expectations.Outstanding communication skills, capable of clearly conveying technical information.Knowledge of regulatory frameworks such as AMO, CASA, EASA, and/or FAA.Experience with helicopter maintenance, particularly with UH-60M components, is highly desirable.Special requirements Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
