About the role We are looking for an Agronomist to drive sales and build key relationships for our Bowen Branch on a permanent, full-time basis.
Elders Agronomists build and maintain ongoing relationships with clients, to help them create a successful, sustainable and productive business both in the short and long term. You will work closely with the branch team to sell and distribute recommended agronomic products for Elders clients throughout the Bowen and Proserpine region.
Responsibilities Visit clients to provide on-farm agronomic and technical support and recommending appropriate products and services to strengthen their business Achieve product sales objectives and assist with product forecasting and inventory management Develop and foster professional relationships with a targeted group of existing and new clients Identify and cultivate new agronomic sales opportunities for prospective and existing clients Maximise promotional opportunities, including assisting at field days and farmer meetings with demonstrations and trial work About you A self-starter who is customer focused and sales driven Are smart, resourceful and able to embrace industry research and new technology Are passionate about effecting real change for both your clients and your community – with building and maintaining relationships at the core of your work Have a background in disciplines such as various crops, weeds, disease, pasture, broadacre, cotton and horticulture Have a proven track record in sales and the ability to bring in new business Have an ability to provide high level customer service and cultivate relationships with potential and current growers Have a tertiary qualification in agricultural science or a related field Hold a current, unrestricted driver's license, forklift license is desirable but not required to apply About Elders Elders is proud to be the last Australian-listed major agribusiness.
