Agricultural and Environmental Service Engineer FIAlab Instruments Australia is a small, high-tech instrument servicing company based in Chatswood, NSW Sydney. We install, service, and support sophisticated chemical analysis instruments.
We are looking for an Agricultural and Environmental Service Engineer with at least 5 years of post-college work experience in an environmental, agricultural, or other relevant laboratory setting. Substantial experience with servicing, troubleshooting, and installing FIAlab's FIAlyzer-1000 and FIAlyzer Flex series is a must. Experience with other laboratory instrumentation, wet chemistry, and troubleshooting is a plus.
As an Agricultural and Environmental Service Engineer, you will work closely with our existing customers and potential new prospects throughout the entire process of learning FIAlab instrumentation. This includes educating them about FIAlab analyzers, understanding their laboratory requirements, and finding suitable FIAlab solutions. This position supports customers in the after-sales process, including traveling to customer sites to install instruments and train customers on their use, as well as conducting annual service and troubleshooting.
The following are areas of responsibility for this position:
Travel to laboratories to install instruments and train customers Travel to laboratories to service and repair instruments Assist customers with troubleshooting and technical support Run experiments to optimize methods to improve FIAlab's technical offering Support distributors and other sales channels This position offers an opportunity for domestic travel averaging around 40%, but up to 80% during peak times. The person must also be able and willing to work independently and collaboratively. A college or master's degree in chemistry or a similar scientific discipline is required.
